Bright Grains On A Dark Surface

Bright yellow-white grains on a dark surface are likely quartz or calcite.
Meteorite check: Unlikely, because the features look sedimentary or terrestrial. The grains look like sand or calcite, and no metal flecks or chondrules show.
Not identified as carbonado. Specimens are under study and not lab-confirmed.
